Major teams: Hong Kong 'A', Hong Kong Under 19's, Hong Kong Cricket Club, Centaurs CC
Playing role: Middle-order batsman
Batting style: Right-hand boundary hitter
Bowling style: Right-arm off-break pies
Fielding position: Slip
High Score: 90 (Island School vs Delia Memorial School-Broadway)
Best Figures: 3-12 (Island School vs Sir Ellis Kadoorie School)
Choice of bat: Gray-Nicolls E41 Players
Cricketer most alike in playing style: Chris Gayle - Hard-hitting aggressive batsman who likes to take on the bowlers and bowls a little bit of off-spin whilst standing at slip most of the time.
Favourite cricketer: Adam Gilchrist – one of the best of all-time, the greatest keeper-batsman ever, a great leader who leads by example, an aggressive, attacking and entertaining batsman and is fearless with an incredibly positive outlook on life. Of current players, David Warner – swashbuckling batting + awesome fielding = Entertainment!!
Favourite cricketing memory: Chasing 328 in the Hong Kong Cricket Club 160th Anniversary Cricket Festival Final, coming off back-to-back ducks against Melbourne Cricket Club and Marylebone Cricket Club, my coach (and Milo's former coach at MCC) Mark Wright scored a winning 104* against MCC (UK) coming in at number 5. He came in under pressure after the loss of several quick wickets with the required run rate creeping up. With 20 overs to go, HKCC needed 170 odd but Wrighty continued to find the boundary regularly whilst supported by the tail. HKCC remained on par in the run chase and 12 was needed off the final over to win. Eight runs were scored off the first 5 ball meaning with Mark on strike on 98, HKCC needed a boundary off the last ball to win. He dispatched it (full toss!!) over the ropes to win the game, brought up his ton and walked off the ground to a standing ovation from a packed crowd.
Favourite place toured: The places I've toured so far haven't been that great (Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Thailand). Would love to tour Anywhere in Australia, Cape Town and Barbados.
Cricketing motto:
Batting – “Just watch the ball and smash it!”
Bowling – “Bowl on the stumps”
Fielding – “Back up and expect the ball to come to you every time”
